Justin Timberlake
Born 31 January 1981, Memphis, Tennessee, USA. Justin Timberlake rose to fame
in the late 1990s as a member of hugely popular US vocal group 'N Sync, with
whom he enjoyed a string of bestselling singles and albums. Timberlake became
the most prominent member of the group owing to his personal relationship
with teen pop queen Britney Spears whom he met whilst
a Disney Mouseketeer. |

He co-wrote all of the material on Justified in a marked attempt to distance
himself from 'N Sync's adolescent fanbase and woo a more mature audience.
The debut single "Like I Love You' featured verses provided by the Neptunes"
protégés the Clipse, and was eerily reminiscent of Michael Jackson
in his mid-80s prime. The album also included collaborations with Janet Jackson
and Bubba Sparxxx, and featured his Top 5 hit single "Cry Me A River". |

Justin
Timberlake: Justified
Common wisdom dictates that a debut album be given an autobiographical slant,
so it's hard not to believe that Justified, Justin Timberlake's first non-N
Sync outing, doesn't take much of its subject matter from the singer's break-up
with Britney Spears. Half of the songs are about the abrupt severing of a
romance and the singer's rather hardhearted stance ... but they're brilliant!
